TV Amplifiers
TV Signal Amplifiers (sometimes known as “Boosters”) are used for a number of reasons; however, the two main Amplifiers are:
Mast Head Amplifiers
These are used to boost the incoming signal in locations where the signal is too weak for the antenna alone to provide adequate signal levels.
Distribution Amplifiers
These are designed to boost the signal levels where you may have a good incoming signal but may have multiple TV outlets. Most good quality TV Antennas installed in a strong signal location will service between 3-4 outlets; however, the more points you have installed, the less signal there is to go around. So the Distribution Amplifier will increase the amount of signal available for distribution to a larger number of outlets.
Cables
The quality of your TV reception is determined not just by the quality of the TV antenna alone; but by all of the components of the Antenna System. Each component needs to be of the highest grade and quality to ensure you get the very best results. None is as important as the cable which carries the signal from the antenna to the TV.
That’s why Antenna Masters use only Premium Quality RG6 Quad Shielded Coaxial Cable in your TV Antenna System. This will ensure the maximum signal strength from your Digital Antenna flows through to your TV for your best viewing experience. Whilst there are also Dual & Tri-Shield versions of this cable available, we will never compromise your viewing experience (or our reputation) by using anything less than the very best.
Connectors
We use F type connectors which are more reliable than the older saddle and screw style. They are more secure and less prone to corrosion than other connectors.
All of our installations use watertight crimp connections and carefully installed cable runs that ensure you will no longer have to worry about waterlogged or brittle sun-damaged cables.
TV Signal Splitters
A TV Signal Splitter has one input where the signal enters the splitter and at least two outputs where the signal leaves the splitter to go to multiple devices. Because multiple devices are using the splitter, the signal for each device will be weaker than if the signal went straight to a single device without running through the splitter. The more times the signal is split, the weaker it will become. It is possible to increase a signal’s strength before splitting it with the use of an Amplifier, and in this case, a power pass splitter is required.
The splitter strength that the signal will be when it leaves the outputs is important, and Antenna Masters’ technicians will always use the required splitter for your TV Antenna System requirement. We only use quality products that suit to divide a high definition television signal for viewing on multiple screens.
